A walk with five chickens

I continue to amaze myself. You may be thinking I am referring to my amazing-ness but alas I am not. I am referring to my lack of foresight into what will come of my different chickens when introduced into different environments.

We went for a mile and a half walk today. Longer than we have gone on all winter. Our first "real" walk of the walking season. In this walk different personalities started to SHINE.

Chicken number 1 tried to balance on the logs.

Chicken number 4 started off running and having a BLAST until 30 seconds later her 3 older chickens caught up and passed her.

Chicken number 3 laughed so hard he almost peed' (his words...not mine)

Chicken number 2 threw things at chicken number 3.

Chicken number 5 decided it was a good time to test his vocal cords. "NOOOOOOAH" could be heard for miles.

Chicken number 4 decided that her legs were tired and she needed to trade places with chicken number 5 in the stroller. "Cause he can walk. He is a big boy you know."

Chicken number 2 had to be constantly reminded to stay on the walking trail and NOT throw objects at his brother when I was looking.

Chicken number 5 had an ongoing argument with nature that went a little something like this...
Hanging out of his stroller:
"Noooooo"
"NO-AH"
"nononoononononono"

Chicken number 3 decided that he needed to walk directly in front of chicken number 4 just to see how long it would take before she hit him.

Chicken number 1 ran like a girl....I am SO proud!!

Chicken number 4 yelled so loud that I told her she needed to stop and to that she replied..."Mommy, I AM using my outside voice...outside."

Chicken number 2 was threatened to stay home next time we went for a walk if he was going to throw things at his siblings right in front of me.

Chicken number 1 proved that she has a MUCH better sense of direction than chicken number 2.

Chicken number 3 decided he needed to pee and it had to happen "NOW"

Chicken number 5 insisted on riding in his stroller holding the hands of his older chicken siblings.

Much more I could elaborate on but alas I will not.

Bubbles

Rebekah has a new rule. "remember people have bubbles and you have to ask them before you pop them." Its a simple rule. Well today I told her she was forgetting about peoples bubbles and forgetting to ask before she "malled" them with hugs and kisses. She replied "yup, I even slept on your bubble last night." all matter of fact. I asked what that meant and she replied "I slept on the baby and the baby is growing in your other bubble" so I guess I have two bubbles and Rebekah does not care if she pops them...
