little feelings

I woke up this morning to the feeling of a little one kicking. SO cool!! Soon I was joined by several chickens who wanted to "feel" the baby as well. I told each one that they might not be able to feel the baby just yet but it would feel like a very faint pulse. Brittany promptly felt and took several minutes to decide if she was in fact "feeling" the baby or just imagining...she responded with a very excited "I think I feel it!!" to which all the other chickens jumped at the opportunity to "feel" the baby. What an amazing thing to share with my kids. :)

Thursdays impending doom

If you hear a loud mourning sound on Thursday have no fear. Its a sound I have been dreading for quite some time. It is the sound of a chicken. A sad and lonely depressed chicken. She is sending her Memaw off on Thursday and will be in tears as we drive home. And I being the WAY smart mom I am decided to take her out of school to spare her teacher a day of depression. So have no fear. If you hear this sound be reassured that the end of the world is NOT coming. But Brittanys is...
